Flash disks in the NVMe format have taken storage to the next level!

While traditional USB flash drives rely on the USB mass storage device class standard, NVMe SSDs harness the power of the PCIe bus to unleash lightning-fast speeds. By utilizing the PCIe interface, NVMe SSDs can tap into the motherboard's fastest data pathway, bypassing the limitations of traditional SATA connections.

To unlock the full potential of NVMe SSDs, you'll need:

  • A PCIe-compatible motherboard or USB 3.0+ features enclosure (with an M.2 slot or U.2 connector)
  • A PCIe NVMe SSD (designed for the PCIe bus)

With this combo, you can enjoy:

  • Blazing-fast data transfer (up to 5000 MB/s)
  • Low latency
  • High storage capacity

Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or tech enthusiast, NVMe SSDs and a compatible PC motherboard are the perfect pair for those who demand high-performance storage. Upgrade your setup and experience the difference!s

Why a SSK M.2 NVME Tool-Free SSD Enclosure Adapter, JMS583 Chip USB C 3.2 Gen 2 10Gbps PCIe MKey External Solid State Drive Case, Support UASP Trim for 2230/2242/2260/2280 (SATA SSD NOT Supported) unit item?

🫙 Features:

The “SSK M.2 NVME Tool-Free SSD Enclosure Adapter” is a high-performance device that supports NVMe PCIe & SATA M-Key / B+M connectors M.2 SSDs1. Here are some of its key features:

  • High-Speed Data Transmission: The enclosure adopts a high-performance controller chip (JMS583), which supports up to 10Gbps high-speed data transmission123. This means that a 1GB file can be transferred in just 1 second123.

  • Compatibility: The enclosure is compatible with NVMe PCIe & SATA M-Key / B+M connectors M.2 SSDs1. It is applicable to sizes 2242 / 2260 / 2280 solid state drivers1. However, it does not support M.2 PCIe AHCI SSDs, M.2 PCIe devices such as WiFi and capture cards, mSATA SSDs, and non-M.2 form factor SSDs1.

  • Type C Interface: The device features a Type C interface, which is recommended for extreme speed performance1. It is backward compatible with USB 3.1 Gen1 and USB 3.0 up to 5Gbps1.

  • Aluminum Alloy Shell: The enclosure is made of an aluminum alloy shell, which is slim, durable, and offers excellent heat dissipation1. It is portable and easy to carry1.

  • UASP and Trim Support: The device complies with UASP and Trim, which can effectively improve the speed and extend the lifetime of SSDs123.

  • Plug-and-Play: The enclosure is compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows 7/8/8.1/10, Linux, and MAC1. It is plug-and-play, requiring no additional drivers1.

Please note that the NVMe SSD is not included with the enclosure1. The speed class of the NVMe disk would depend on the specific NVMe disk that you choose to use with this enclosure.

NVMe SSD 2TB M.2 2280 SSD PCIe Gen4x4 Internal Solid State Drives Up to 7400MB/s Suitable for Desktop, Gaming Laptop, Enthusiasts, IT Profession

So, to be noted: there are two typical speeds in your component search 🔍.

Whether the disk is to be underutilized by your motherboard or CPU, speed benchmarks are likely to show capped results of 3400MB/Sec, a speed slower than the M.2 PCIe hardware adapter's supported speeds. It is possible that typical NVMe adapter itself is faster than the host supports ,thus "bottleneck" keeps a would-be 7800 MB/sec. model with a reduced speed. This is typical on laptops, particularly my old Dell Inspiron with Whisky Lake Intel®️, without the included enclosure you would be limited to weaker bus limitation within motherboard-to-CPU limits. For example, a Samsung 980 Pro 512 GB supports 5200 MB/sec, but you won't see all of it if so.

  • To reach PCIe 4.0 X4 (64Gbps) full speed, the CPU and motherboard PCIe slot and PCIe M.2 SSD should all be PCIe 4.0 features (Note: PCIe 4.0 is not supported on Intel CPUs below 11th generation)

Note: PCIe 4.0 is not supported on Intel CPUs below 11th generation 🔥💼🪛

OS compatibility: This Plug-and-play NVMe PCI express NVMe slot for storage works in Windows 11/10/8/Linux/Mac OS (Note: Not support Windows 7).  A new M.2 NVMe SSD needs to be initialized and formatted before it can be recognized by the computer host.
